Editorial Oversight

Farsçadan stories are translated with AI and published under human editorial oversight.

Who is the editor?

Farsçadan Editors is run by an editor trained in Persian translation and interpreting who previously served as editor-in-chief of a news website. The editor decides on source selection, editorial standards, orientation labels and corrections.

How does oversight work?

  • Rules: Every story is prepared according to the writing and editorial standards set by the editor: attribution to the source, an orientation label, marking conflicting claims as “unconfirmed,” and no opinion.
  • Weekly review: Stories that directly concern Turkey or deal with sensitive subjects are read and approved one by one by the editor every week, and corrected where necessary.
  • Verification: Claims about Turkey or about sanctions are checked against primary English-language sources before publication.
  • Corrections: Reader reports are reviewed by the editor; corrections that change the meaning of a story are noted with a date at the end of the story.
