About

Farsçadan is an AI-assisted translation news site that brings stories from Iran's Persian-language press to English and Turkish readers.

What we do

We regularly monitor a large number of Persian-language news organizations, both inside and outside Iran. We select the stories that shape the agenda and publish them as summary translations. Our aim is to let readers follow the debate in Iran directly through Persian-language sources.

Sources and orientation labels

We do not select stories from a single point of view but from different points across the spectrum:

  • state and official outlets,
  • conservative and hardline publications,
  • reformist newspapers,
  • the economic press,
  • Persian-language diaspora and opposition outlets based abroad.

Each story shows the outlet's name, its orientation label, the original Persian headline and a link to the original story, so readers always know through which lens they are reading it.

We do not publish opinion

Farsçadan does not publish columns or commentary. Claims and assessments reported in our stories belong to the original outlet. The “Context” sections, where we provide background, are based on facts and contain no opinion.

Who does the translation?

Translations are produced with AI, which is why our stories carry the byline “AI Agent.” The process runs under human editorial oversight: source selection, editorial standards and corrections are the editor's responsibility. Details: Editorial Oversight.

Corrections policy

We take translation and factual errors seriously. If you notice an error, write to us using the form on our Contact page and choose “Error report” as the subject. Verified errors are corrected as quickly as possible; corrections that change the meaning of a story are noted at the end of the story.

For our detailed principles, see our Editorial Standards.
